Moving Into the Holidays

With all the parties, caroling, deserts you never thought you’d be able to finish and last minute projects at work finding time to move is quickly placed at the bottom of everyone’s “to-do” list. The staff at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Lawrenceville have a few words of wisdom for the lucky few moving at the end of December

  1. Don’t rely on friends and family to work on your schedule. Hiring help is much easier to coordinate and pay back. Asking a small favor from your loved ones almost comes back as a poorly-timed IOU.iou
  2. Pack before the New Years parties start. Whether you’re a weekend enthusiast, homebody or enjoy living vicariously through friends on social media the New Year will sneak up. Last minute packing can be done right with a little help from the Movers Who Care.
  3. Have a Day-Of-Move box packed. One per family member for best results.
  4. Take advantage of friends and family in town. Moving is never easy, but moving without the little ones around means one less piece to stress about. Ask for the cousins, aunts/uncles or grandparents to take the kids to the Atlanta Botanical Garden Lights or Lanier’s Magical Nights of Lights for solid prep time.
